The call center Kaktus.media received inquiries from parents of schoolchildren in Bishkek.

They expressed their concern about safety in educational institutions, citing recent events such as the thwarted attack on a school that could have threatened both students and teachers. Parents believe it is necessary to restore security personnel and install metal detectors at the entrances to prevent potential threats and ensure the safety of all participants in the educational process.

In response to these inquiries, the education department of the Bishkek city hall reported that they are holding meetings with parents and school management in collaboration with law enforcement agencies to discuss safety issues and prevent offenses among youth.

The city hall noted that each municipal school has daytime security and night watchmen. Additionally, "panic buttons" have been installed in educational institutions, and surveillance cameras equipped with facial recognition capabilities are connected to the Situational Center of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.

It is worth reminding that on March 9, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, during a counter-terrorism operation in collaboration with foreign partners, discovered and halted the actions of a minor student who was studying the possibility of carrying out an armed attack on teachers and students at one of the capital's schools.
