In the Kochkor district of the Naryn region, hunters submitted the pelts of jackals to the commission, which were hunted in February.

According to the provided data, hunters submitted 36 jackal pelts, of which 34 were marked. The disposed jackals were buried in special pits at Yama Bekkari under the supervision of a veterinary doctor and treated with lime in accordance with veterinary and sanitary standards.

As reported by the hunters themselves, no more jackals were killed in February. However, since the beginning of last year, reward payments have not been made, and some hunters, not wanting to spend time transporting the pelts, immediately buried the killed jackals in the pits at Yama Bekkari.

It is also worth noting that wolf pelts were not presented to the commission. Hunters explained this by stating that those who caught wolves take the pelts to other regions where rewards are paid for them.

After hunters appealed to the publication Turmush regarding the non-payments since February of last year, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision began to make payments.

Hunters note that if reward payments are made regularly, they are ready to actively participate in regulating the populations of predators such as wolves and jackals.

The state pays 6000 soms for a killed wolf and 2000 soms for a jackal.
