In Kochkor, hunters laid out all the predators they shot on the road

In the Kochkor district of the Naryn region, a presentation of wolf skins shot by local hunters took place.

According to the commission, starting from 2026, hunters in the region have killed 30 (thirty) wolves and 41 (forty-one) jackals.

The jackals that were shot were buried in accordance with veterinary and sanitary norms under the supervision of a veterinarian, using chlorinated lime for processing in special Bekari pits.

In January 2025, Turmush reported that in the Naryn region, predators caused damage to livestock farmers amounting to 23 million 139 thousand soms in one year.

As a result of the attacks, 64 heads of cattle, 368 horses, and 214 sheep and goats were killed. As part of special measures involving hunters, 103 wolves, 1 wolf pup, and 181 jackals were shot in the region.

According to the decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, hunters receive monetary rewards for killing predatory animals: 6,000 soms for a wolf, 1,500 soms for a wolf pup, and 2,000 soms for a jackal.

The reward, amounting to 4,800 soms for a wolf, 1,600 soms for a jackal, and 1,200 soms for a wolf pup, is transferred to the hunters' personal accounts after submitting all necessary documents, taking into account the withholding of taxes and contributions to the Social Fund.
