In the area of the village of Karingen, located in the rural district of Kyz-Köl in the Suzak region of the Jalal-Abad region, local hunters managed to shoot four wolves in one day from a total pack consisting of eight predators.

Among the killed were the leaders of the pack.

Kubanychbek Almamotov, who organized the hunt, reported that he received information from local hunters in the village of Kara-Köl about the possible location of the wolves. Following the hunting trail, he came out to an open steppe area where he spotted a pack of eight wolves and immediately notified other hunters.

“Around noon, I saw a group of wolves. There is a hunter named Shamshi in Karingen, to whom I passed the information. He gathered a team, and more than ten people actively participated in the hunt. We caught the leaders and large wolves. However, due to the wooded area, we couldn't catch them all at once. From the tracks in the snow, we noticed the prints of eleven wolves, but I only saw eight. These predators are not so easy to catch,” Almamotov said.

A group of hunters led by K. Almamatov is engaged in shooting wolves and jackals in the Suzak region. Last year, they eliminated 130 jackals. At the request of local residents who became victims of predators, the hunters actively assist in the fight against jackals.

According to a decree from the government of Kyrgyzstan, there is a monetary reward for shooting predatory animals: 6,000 soms for one wolf, 1,500 soms for a wolf cub, and 2,000 soms for a jackal.

After submitting the necessary documents, hunters receive a reward of 4,800 soms for a wolf, 1,600 soms for a jackal, and 1,200 soms for a wolf cub, taking into account taxes and contributions to the Social Fund.
