In recent days, an increase in the number of wolves has been observed in the Kara-Kuzhur valley, causing concern among local livestock breeders. Shepherds reported traces of eight wolves that came from the Solton-Sary area. Early in the morning, three wolves were spotted in the Kara-Kuzhur summer pasture, which had killed a yak; after that, the hunters set out to find them.
In a place called "Uu-Tash," the hunters encountered the pack leader. At that moment, hunter Namazbek Aitmambetov took a shot and hit the female wolf. The other four wolves managed to escape.
"This female wolf was injured in February of last year by a hunter named Kanat, but she managed to escape at that time. This time, her wound had already healed. After she had fed on the yak, she was returning back, and it was at that moment that she was caught in the shot," the hunters recounted.
