From January 21 to March 15, the festival organization received about 420 applications from authors from various countries, including Russia, India, Belarus, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Sergey Bratishchev, the festival director, noted that one of the key tasks of the "From the Heart" film festival is to ensure access to new releases of both domestic and foreign cinema for all viewers, regardless of their place of residence. He added that films intended for family viewing help convey important truths through vivid examples and illuminate complex aspects through the actions of the characters.
Based on the results of the selection stage, a competitive program will be formed. The screening of films will take place from May 26 to May 30 as part of the XVII international film festival "From the Heart."
