According to a study published in the journal "Healthcare of Kyrgyzstan," the majority of residents of Kyrgyzstan support vaccination. However, the level of knowledge about vaccines leaves much to be desired.

In a survey conducted nationwide in July 2025, it was found that 77.1% of respondents have a positive attitude towards vaccination. Notably, 9.1% of those surveyed express doubts about its necessity, while approximately 2% completely reject it.

Although survey participants recognize that vaccines protect against infectious diseases, only a few were able to name specific illnesses, indicating a lack of knowledge about vaccination, according to the authors of the study.

Healthcare workers remain the primary source of information about vaccination, referenced by 59.4% of respondents.

The authors of the study emphasize that vaccination is not only an important means of preventing infections but also a significant social and economic investment, especially in countries with limited healthcare resources.

The authors believe that increasing public awareness, improving communication, and enhancing vaccine accessibility will help strengthen trust in vaccination and increase immunization coverage in the republic.
