Fight Overview
Round 1.
From the very beginning of the fight, Shevchenko took the initiative, landing a powerful knee strike that noticeably slowed Zhang down. Valentina took the Chinese athlete to the ground and confidently controlled the remaining time of the round.
Round 2.
Shevchenko completely dominated, confidently controlling her opponent on the ground and moving to a crucifix position.
Round 3.
The fight started standing, where a slight advantage also lay with the Kyrgyz athlete. In the second half of the round, she once again took Zhang to the canvas and continued to control the situation, landing precise strikes.
Round 4.
Valentina methodically worked on her feet, actively attacking her opponent's body with leg strikes and avoiding aggressive attacks. At the end of the round, she again took Zhang to the ground, assumed a half guard position, and delivered shoulder strikes, confidently finishing this segment as well.
Round 5.
In the final round, Shevchenko looked significantly fresher than her opponent. Zhang tried to become more active, but Valentina once again took the fight to clinch and then to the ground. Controlling her opponent, she continued to deliver shoulder strikes and left-handed punches from half guard.
