Valentina Shevchenko achieved another victory, successfully defending her title in the UFC for the second consecutive time.

On November 16 at UFC 322 in New York, the Kyrgyz athlete faced Weili Zhang, the former champion of the UFC's minimum division and currently ranked second in the PFP rankings from China.

After the fight, Shevchenko shared who could be her next opponent.

“There are several interesting options in my division. In my last defense, Natalia Silva showcased an excellent fight. Erin Blanchfield also performed well at this tournament. Additionally, I heard that Kayla Harrison expressed a desire to fight me. So I have a lot to think about,” Shevchenko noted in an interview with Joe Rogan right after the fight.

At the press conference, the athlete was asked about Kayla Harrison's desire to compete in the bantamweight division in the UFC.

“That is one of the possible options I am considering. However, right now I need to focus on recovering from the injuries I sustain from one training camp to another. In about a week, I will gather my team, and we will discuss the next steps. In the flyweight division, there are good contenders — Erin and Natalia. In the bantamweight division, we have Amanda and Kayla. Kayla is also an interesting option, and if a fight happens, it will be a serious challenge,” Shevchenko added.

Moreover, she touched on the topic of a possible trilogy with Amanda Nunes.

“Fans would certainly like to see a third fight with Amanda, as we have unfinished business. But it is still unclear whether she will return to the octagon, and in what form — whether it will be the old version of Amanda or if she will fully recover,” Shevchenko concluded.
