The Kyrgyz athlete won against Zhang at the tournament in New York
At UFC 322, which took place in New York, Valentina Shevchenko defeated Weili Zhang, successfully defending her UFC champion title.
The fight, which was the co-main event of the evening, lasted a full five rounds and ended with a confident victory for Shevchenko by decision.
This victory marked the third consecutive win for the 37-year-old Kyrgyz athlete. Moreover, she tied with Brazilian Amanda Nunes for the most wins in UFC title fights, reaching a total of 11 victories. With this achievement, Shevchenko retained her title as champion in the women's flyweight category (57 kg).
After the fight, Valentina noted that she dedicates her victory to her coach Pavel Fedotov.
