The Kyrgyzstan national team (U-23) still has theoretical chances to advance to the knockout stage of the Asian Youth Cup.

After playing two matches in the group stage, the team under the guidance of Edmar Lacerda has not earned a single point, suffering defeats to Saudi Arabia (0:1) and Vietnam (1:2).

In a parallel match of the second round, Jordan won against Saudi Arabia with a score of 3:2, giving the Kyrgyz team hope to continue fighting for a spot in the next round.

To advance further, the Kyrgyzstan national team needs to achieve a significant victory over Jordan in their final match and hope for a defeat of Saudi Arabia by Vietnam.

The final matches of the group stage will take place on January 12.

Current standings after two games

1. Vietnam — 6 points (+3)

2. Jordan — 3 points (-1)

3. Saudi Arabia — 3 points (0)

4. Kyrgyzstan — 0 points (-2)
