This will be the 190th official match for the Kyrgyzstan national team and the first encounter in history against a team from Africa.
In 2024, when the Kyrgyzstan national team was training in Turkey under Maxim Lisitsin, the team played a friendly match against the Algerian club "Oran," which ended in a 0:0 draw.
It is also worth noting that clubs from Kyrgyzstan have already had experience facing African teams.
During the Soviet era, the team "Alga" organized tours, during which they played several matches against African clubs.
Additionally, one of the Nigerian teams came to Kyrgyzstan for a series of friendly matches with local clubs.
Currently, the Kyrgyzstan national team ranks 103rd in the FIFA ranking, while Equatorial Guinea is in 107th place.
