The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic has clarified how information about service charges is displayed in cash register receipts for catering services.

As of today, taxpayers have the option to choose how to indicate the service charge:

For example, in one restaurant, the cost of a dish is 500 soms, and a 10% service charge is added — that’s 50 soms, making the total amount 550 soms. In this case, the cash register receipt contains two lines: the price of the dish and a separate line for "service." The service charge is indicated separately and recorded in the fiscal software system as a separate item.

In another café, the same dish may be listed for 550 soms, where the service charge is already included in this amount. In this case, the receipt displays the price of the dish and the markup in one line.

It should be noted that changes in prices applied by taxpayers are not related to the introduction of fiscal software. The fiscal software system merely records the transactions carried out and ensures their correct representation in the accounting system.
