The official part of Vladimir Putin's state visit to Kyrgyzstan has begun.

On November 26, an official meeting ceremony took place in Bishkek between the presidents of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. Vladimir Putin, who arrived on a state visit, was welcomed by President Sadyr Japarov.

The motorcade of the Russian leader, accompanied by cavalry, arrived at the "Yntymak Ordo" building.

Flags of both countries were raised on flagpoles, and an honor guard was formed, which included ethnic warriors.

The leaders exchanged greetings, after which the anthems of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation were played. The commander of the honor guard reported, and the presidents were given the opportunity to inspect the troops.

During the ceremony, Putin paid tribute to the flag, addressing the servicemen with the greeting: "Salam asker!".

After that, Sadyr Japarov and Vladimir Putin introduced the members of their delegations, and the honor guard passed by the heads of state in a ceremonial march.
Following the ceremony of greetings and a joint photo session, the leaders proceeded to the negotiation hall.

According to Sagynbek Abdumutalip, head of the external policy department of the President's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, the visit, made at the invitation of Sadyr Japarov, is of great importance for strengthening strategic partnership and allied relations between the countries.

High-level negotiations are planned as part of the visit, during which key areas of bilateral cooperation will be discussed, as well as issues of interaction within the EAEU, CIS, SCO, and CSTO.

As a result of the meeting, a joint statement from the leaders and the signing of a number of intergovernmental and commercial agreements are expected.

For reference, Vladimir Putin arrived in Bishkek on a state visit on November 25, where he was met by President Sadyr Japarov at Manas International Airport.
