Care, Bullet, and Rooster
Rooster
In one village, there lived a blind old man. Every day and every night, he prayed to God, asking for the chance to see the light at least once in his life.
And one day, a miracle happened - for a brief moment, God granted him sight. The old man opened his eyes and saw a rooster walking right in front of him. This moment passed so quickly that he could only see that rooster.
Since then, every time he spoke with someone, he used the rooster as an example. If people talked about a horse, he would ask, "How much bigger is it than a rooster?" If they talked about birds, he would ask, "How is it different from a rooster?"
Man and Beast
One day, a grandson asked his grandfather:
- Why are drunk people not liked?
- Because a drunk person sometimes turns from a rational being into five different animals.
The boy was surprised: "Can one person really turn into five beasts at once?"
- Yes, it's very simple. - the grandfather replied, - when a person starts drinking, he looks at himself and others, begins to be cunning, and behaves like a fox. However, the fox cannot refuse food. When he drinks more, he starts to pounce on everyone like a cat ready to fight any enemy.
When a person drinks a lot, he becomes like a monkey - sometimes he understands what he is doing, and sometimes he does not; he can make faces, sing, and dance for no reason. Then he becomes aggressive and "barks" at everyone like a dog. And when he drinks excessively, he won't understand anything and will fall asleep like a pig in the mud.
- Grandfather, what do you advise me to do?
- Remember, you must always know your limits and remain a Human.
What Cannot Be Returned?
A hunter went into the mountains to hunt with his son. Seeing an elk, he quickly loaded his gun, shot, but missed. The son asked:
- Father, can I return that bullet and shoot at the elk again?
- No, a fired bullet, a spoken word, and a lived life can never be returned.
Care
On the summer pasture, a herd of camels was grazing, and around the neck of one of these hardy animals was tied a white scarf. This custom has come down to us from ancient times: a scarf was tied around a female camel in the last months of her pregnancy. The scarf indicated her condition, so she was not driven or frightened unnecessarily, to ensure the birth of a healthy camel calf.
One day, from a neighboring village, a young horseman was galloping towards the grazing herd at full speed. The owner of the camels, seeing the rider, stopped him, blocking the road.
- Why did you stop me? - the heated rider asked in surprise.
- Do you see that this female camel has a scarf around her neck? You must not disturb her so that she does not give birth to a premature and weak camel calf.
- But it's just an animal, not a human, the young horseman became even more heated.
- All living beings should be treated with love and care, for livestock is our wealth, and the more healthy offspring our animals bring into the world, the richer each of us will be, and in general, the whole nation.
