Three Epochs
Three Epochs
When society goes through a transitional period, it is painful for everyone. Not everyone adapts to the changing life principles, and interpersonal relationships become unpredictable; many are left, as they say, without a job.
This period can be divided into three epochs.
The first is the "wolf life." That is, when each person survives as best they can, feeding themselves and their family. However, sometimes the cream rises to the top, as the strong, like wolves, intercept the prey from the weaker. But this period ends, and another epoch begins.
The second epoch is the "fox life." This is the epoch of those who can be cunning, deceitfully taking a tasty piece from an honest, simple person. In other words, the more cunning survive. But this time does not last long, because the cunning lose trust, and their epoch comes to an end.
After this comes the third epoch, the "sheep life." When the people live in complete abundance, becoming as full as sheep. That is, when a prosperous life comes for all. This period is referred to by the Kyrgyz as the very prosperity when even "nightingales nest in sheep's wool."
The Road to the Heart.
A young woman comes to her mother and says: - Mom, my husband is leaving me, I don’t know what to do! The mother replies: - Go to the forest, find a sleeping tiger, pull out two hairs from its whiskers, and bring them to me.
- But, mom, what does the tiger, its whiskers, and my husband have to do with each other?
- Do what I said!
The girl went to the forest, stood at a distance on the first day, and looked. On the second day, she approached closer. On the third day, the girl took a piece of meat with her, fed the tiger, and on the fourth or fifth day, the tiger was full and peacefully fell asleep on the lap of the beautiful woman. Meanwhile, she pulled out several hairs from the tiger's whiskers and brought them to her mother.
The mother said to her:
— See, a woman can tame even such a wild beast as a tiger. So find the way to your man's heart!
