Prateek Chaudhuri is one of the brilliant virtuosos of the traditional Indian instrument - the sitar, and is the most famous Indian musician in the world after the legendary Ravi Shankar. He has made a significant contribution to the popularization of Indian classical music in Western countries in general, as well as of instruments and performers in particular. His playing sparkles with a rare combination of virtuosity, technical elegance, and deep aesthetic meaning, reflecting the eternal essence of the sitar. He owes all of this to his father and guru, the world-renowned Sitar Maestro - Debu Chaudhuri. He has also had the fortune of learning from the legend of the "Senia" tradition - Ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan Sahab, who is the oldest performer of Indian classical music.
