Musical Premiere of A. Vladychuk’s Film "White Gold" (Turkmenfilm, 1929)

"White Gold" is the first Turkmen feature film and one of the first films made in Central Asia. "White Gold" is a silent film; specifically commissioned by the Headquarters, composer Munara Korpotaeva wrote an experimental musical accompaniment for it. The film screening will be accompanied by a chamber ensemble of young musicians from the Kyrgyz National Conservatory named after Moldo Basanov, performing on classical European and Kyrgyz folk instruments, as well as electronic music.

Munara Korpotaeva is a pianist and composer. A distinctive feature of her work is the blending of various musical styles and a subtle orientation towards Kyrgyz folk intonations. She is a graduate of the Kyrgyz National Conservatory named after K. Moldo Basanov in the classes of "Special Piano" (2011) and "Composition" (2017). She is a recipient of the presidential scholarship "Altyn-Shaty." She is the winner of the I prize at the Republican Competition named after K. Moldo Basanov (piano). She participated in the Central Asian Academy of Contemporary Music (2012).
