The concert truly became a real miracle. Before the eyes of the audience, sand paintings were born. The program featured works by contemporary Western European composers, new orchestral arrangements of Kyrgyz music, as well as soundtracks from popular films.
- We would like to demonstrate the broadest spectrum of music's possibilities. As is known, music is connected with poetry, literature, cinema, and history. It is, by its nature, abstract, but can be expressive and narrative, serving as illustrations to events. In the concert, we tried to combine music and images. Stories and tales drawn in sand will be born before you. The genre of sandography is young and fleeting, like the breath of the wind and melting clouds, but the combination of music and sand is simply stunning - noted the organizers.
The concert was opened by the storyteller Manaschi Nurbek Talantbekov. The solo piano parts were performed by Ayturgan Turapova, and the sandography was soloed by Asylkan Ibraimova. Well-known works for chamber orchestra were arranged by Nur Omurbayev.
