Poet, playwright, translator Midin Alybaev

Poet, playwright, translator M. Alybaev was born on December 3, 1917, and died in 1959 in the village of Chayek, Jumgal District, Naryn Region, in the family of a laborer.
In 1931, he graduated from a rural seven-year school, and in 1935, he graduated from the Frunze Pedagogical College, then studied for one year in courses for Komsomol workers.
From 1938 to 1940, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army and participated in battles against the White Finns.
From 1936 to 1938, he worked in the editorial office of the newspaper "Leninchil Zhash," and during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period, he worked in various editorial offices of republican newspapers and magazines.
His creative biography began in 1934 and is marked by diversity and versatility; however, M. Alybaev preferred poetry in his work. The poet's verses are characterized by profound lyricism, sharp satirical pathos, and the ability to combine the traditions of folk and professional poetry. In 1937, his first poetry collection "Baktyluu Jashtyk" ("Happy Youth") was published, and M. Alybaev is known as one of the best satirical poets. Evidence of this is a series of satirical collections such as "Akchuch" ("Tenderness"), "Midin," and others. He is the author of several short stories, fairy tales, essays, and feuilletons. His publicistic poem "Poetic Report to V. V. Mayakovsky" is widely known among readers. M. Alybaev is also the author of plays such as "An Incident at the Resort," "The Will of Jantek," "Zootechnician Buylakov," and others. The poet is one of the best translators of the works of A. S. Pushkin, M. Y. Lermontov, V. V. Mayakovsky, and others into Kyrgyz. Two books by M. Alybaev have been published in Russian.
He was a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1944 and a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1939.
