In Bishkek, in the residential area of Ak-Zhar, where about 15,000 people live, there are no educational institutions, as reported by deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu at a recent parliamentary meeting.

The neighboring residential areas of Nurkojo and Adilet have about 3,000 students who are forced to travel to schools in other parts of the city.

The deputy drew a parallel with the Chon-Alai district, where, according to him, there are several schools. He emphasized the need to begin construction of an educational institution in Ak-Zhar as a priority.

“Recently, an off-site meeting was held with the participation of Vice Mayor Konushbekovich [First Deputy Mayor Mirlan Baigonchokov] and the akim of the Sverdlovsk district [Mederbek Amangeldiev]. Unfortunately, they did not attend. This, in my opinion, hinders our work and the process. The main difficulty lies in the lack of a suitable site for construction. The city plans to build 20 schools, however, Ak-Zhar is not included in this list,” he stated.
