Construction of mini-football fields has begun in the Botanical Garden on a plot with rocky soil. This was reported on January 21 during a broadcast on "Birinchi Radio" by Nurbek Albanov, the deputy director of the garden.

According to him, the Botanical Garden, located on Akhunbaev Street, covers an area of 127 hectares, and the mini-football fields will be situated near the entrance from this street.

Albanov explained that the decision to build was made not only by the garden's administration but also in collaboration with the president and the National Academy of Sciences.

He clarified that these are indeed mini-football fields, not a full-fledged arena. Construction work in the traditional sense is not being carried out—the field will be open, and mesh fencing will be installed around it. The total area allocated for the fields will be about 15–16 hundredths of a hectare.

The deputy director noted that the site was chosen for a reason: the rocky land had prevented the growth of plants in this area for 20–30 years due to the large number of stones.

Albanov also added that when the botanical garden was created in 1962, part of the territory also had rocky soil, and soil was brought in for various zones, which was spread on top. However, it is precisely at the site where the fields are now being constructed that the rocky layer has remained.
