Albanov noted that this decision was agreed upon with the president and the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences. He also emphasized that there will be no large-scale construction work on the territory of the Botanical Garden.
“It is planned to create a standard outdoor mini-football field. A light fence will be installed to prevent the ball from going out of bounds. It will occupy approximately 15-16 hundred square meters and will be located on a plot that has remained rocky and unsuitable for agricultural needs for many years,” Nurlan Albanov specified.
The Botanical Garden, founded in 1962 along the Alamedin River, originally included areas with heavy, rocky soil. Despite numerous attempts to improve conditions for plants, this part of the garden has not been useful for botanical purposes.
The administration of the Botanical Garden assured that the planned project will not affect the green spaces and scientific collections of the institution.
