Kazakhstan Introduced a Ban on the Import of Chicken Eggs

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced a temporary ban on the import of fresh chicken eggs. This was reported in the news by "Informburo".

According to the order, which came into effect on December 11, the import of eggs (commodity code of the Eurasian Economic Union's foreign economic activity: 040721) from third countries and EAEU countries is prohibited for a period of one month. The ban does not affect the transit of eggs through Kazakhstan.

The ministry emphasized that this measure has been taken to support domestic producers.

It is worth noting that eggs are also imported into Kazakhstan from Kyrgyzstan.
