The ministry has issued a warning about a potential water shortage
Farmers have received a warning from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing about the possibility of a shortage of irrigation water during the 2026 growing season.
According to the agency, the negative effects of climate change and a decrease in precipitation may lead to a shortage of water resources in several regions of the country. Therefore, farmers are strongly advised to take proactive measures for the rational use of water.
The ministry emphasized the importance of implementing water-saving technologies, such as drip and sprinkler irrigation, as well as selecting agricultural crops that require less water and using drought-resistant seed varieties.
Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture assured that during irrigation, the distribution of water resources will be fair and balanced.
