
The most in-demand vacancies are among skilled trades
As of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 registered job vacancies in Kyrgyzstan, according to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration. Employers' main interest is focused on skilled trades.
The unemployment rate in the country stands at 1.3 percent. There are 56,500 people registered with employment services, of which 38,100 are officially recognized as unemployed. In 2025, with the support of these services, 17,454 people were able to find employment.
The largest number of vacancies—4,251—relates to skilled trades. Among the most requested specialties are tailors (1,850 vacancies), drivers (1,000), cooks (420), sales agents (400), construction specialists (373), and welders (150).
In the service sector, there are 1,296 vacancies, including 350 positions for educators, 320 for medical workers, 151 for cashiers, 150 for accountants, 96 for administrators, 95 for managers, and 185 for interns. There is also a demand for 253 IT specialists.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the highest average salaries are observed in the financial sector—67,121 soms, in industry—66,990 soms, in transportation—58,657 soms, and in construction—57,472 soms. In trade, the average salary is 47,125 soms, in agriculture—33,462 soms, in services—29,679 soms, in healthcare and social services—28,082 soms, in education—27,054 soms, and in culture—24,861 soms.
