Ministry of Labor: There are over 5,500 job vacancies in the labor market of Kyrgyzstan

As of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 job vacancies in the country, with the highest demand for skilled workers, according to the Ministry of Labor.

Currently, the unemployment rate in the republic stands at 1.3%. There are 56,500 unemployed registered with employment services, of which 38,100 have official status. Employment services have helped 17,454 citizens find jobs (as of 2025).

A number of vacancies are open in the labor market for the following specialties:

• 350 preschool and school educators;

• 320 medical workers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists);

• 151 cashiers;

• 63 sales agents;

• 36 state and municipal employees;

• 95 managers;

• 150 accountants;

• 24 lawyers;

• 40 economists;

• 96 administrators;

• 185 interns;

• 4,251 workers in skilled trades;

• 253 IT specialists;

• 420 cooks;

• 400 sales agents;

• 185 seamstresses;

• 150 welders;

• 373 workers in the construction sector (drivers, mechanics, etc.);

• 1,000 drivers;

• 178 service sector workers (hairdressers, waiters, etc.).

The average salary, according to the National Statistical Committee, is as follows: 67,121 som in the financial sector, 66,990 som in industry, 58,657 som in transport, 57,472 som in construction, 47,125 som in trade, 33,462 som in agriculture, 29,679 som in the service sector, 28,082 som in healthcare, 27,054 som in education, and 24,861 som in culture.
