According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, 25,391 new jobs were created in the country in 2025. This is reported in the official report of the agency.
One of the main factors contributing to the increase in employment was the social contract program. This year, the amount of social assistance under this program increased from 100,000 to 150,000 soms, allowing for 13,331 agreements to be concluded for the specified amount across the country.
The Ministry emphasized that the increase in the amount of assistance attracted more families to participate in the program, which in turn improved their financial situation and contributed to the development of small businesses. This also fostered economic activity, especially in rural areas.
Within the framework of the social contract program, 13,964 new jobs were created in 2025, with about 90% of participants being women, primarily from the regions. The most popular areas of work were:
- Agriculture — 77.7%,
- Service sector — 8.9%,
- Manufacturing — 7.3%,
- Trade — 6.1%.
Additionally, within the framework of public paid works aimed at developing social infrastructure in the regions, 10,716 jobs were created, as well as 711 positions in personal assistant services.
The ministry noted that the social contract program continues to be an important tool for supporting employment and the development of small entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan.
