
More than 1,500 Kyrgyz citizens are working in Korea under the EPS program.
According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, in 2025, 4,315 citizens of Kyrgyzstan sought consultation for employment in the Republic of Korea through the EPS program.
Labor relations are regulated by a memorandum with the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor. The EPS program, which has been in operation since 2007, is extended every two years.
This year, two stages of testing for knowledge of the Korean language were conducted for program participants. Out of 1,350 examinees, 339 successfully passed the test.
As a result of the selection, 225 candidates signed employment contracts, and 232 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, including 30 women, left for work in Korea.
Currently, most employed Kyrgyz citizens are engaged in enterprises in the food, chemical, and paper industries, as well as in factories producing plastic, rubber, and glass. The average salary is about $1,700.
At present, more than 1,500 Kyrgyz citizens are working in the Republic of Korea under the EPS program.
