According to information provided by the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise, as part of the Ministry of Energy's initiative to update and modernize infrastructure, the branch of OJSC "NESC" has begun repairs on overhead power lines.
According to the work schedule for 2026:
— 20 km of lines will undergo major repairs;
— 380 km of lines will receive current planned maintenance.
These works are aimed at preparing for the autumn-winter season of 2026–2027 and will be carried out in stages from March to November. The repairs will affect the Kadamjai, Leilek, and Batken districts.
In particular, in the Sulukta area, the high-voltage overhead network service has started planned work on the 110 kV lines "Khoja-Bakirgan–Arka" and "Arka–Morskaya," with a total length of 7 km. During the repairs, 190 outdated insulators will be replaced with new ones, line fittings will be updated, and modern equipment that meets current technical standards will be installed.

In 2025, the high-voltage overhead network service of the Batken Electric Network Company replaced 7,200 outdated insulators and installed 7,513 glass insulators. As part of the planned maintenance, 1,264.75 km of lines were repaired, and major repairs affected 134.6 km.
