Extensive repair work on high-voltage overhead power lines operating at voltages of 220/110/35 kV is planned at the Batken Electric Networks enterprise, which is part of JSC “NES Kyrgyzstan”.
According to the approved plan for 2026, it is expected:
• capital repairs of 20 km of overhead lines;
• scheduled (current) repairs of 1380 km of overhead lines.
These works are organized to prepare for the autumn-winter season of 2026–2027 and will be carried out in stages from March to November. The repair operations cover sections of the Kadamjai, Leilek, and Batken districts of the Batken region.
Currently, scheduled repair work has begun on the Suluktu section of the service for the 110 kV overhead line "Khoja-Bakirgan – Arka" and the 110 kV overhead line "Arka – Morskaya", with a total length of 7 km. As part of these activities, 190 worn-out insulators will be replaced. Along with the replacement of insulators, the line fittings are being updated, and modern equipment that meets all technical standards is being installed.
The main goal of these works is to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply for consumers, prevent emergency outages, reduce technological losses, and improve the overall condition of high-voltage overhead lines.
It is worth noting that in 2025, a complete replacement of 7200 old insulators on the 220/110/35 kV overhead lines was carried out, and 7513 new glass insulators were installed. As part of the scheduled repairs, 1264.75 km of high-voltage lines were covered, of which 134.6 km underwent capital repairs.
