According to information provided by the National Statistical Committee, the gross domestic product (GDP) in January 2026 amounted to 125.7 billion soms, which is 9% more compared to the same month of the previous year.
The GDP growth was achieved thanks to positive dynamics in the sectors of commodity production, services, and net taxes on products. In particular, the growth rate of commodity production increased by 11.8%, while services showed an increase of 8.9%. Net taxes on products grew by 5.4%.
In the structure of gross domestic product, services accounted for the largest share at 52.3%, which is 2 percentage points lower than in January of last year. At the same time, the share of commodity production increased by 4.2 percentage points to 30.7%.
The share of the industrial sector rose by 4.3 percentage points, the share of construction increased by 0.3 percentage points, while agriculture showed a decrease of 0.4 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
