The festivals of kindergartens took place in the jailoo.
From March 24 to 26, 2015, festivals of kindergartens on jailoo were held in the Kara-Kulja, Alay, and Chon-Alai districts of the Osh region under the slogan "We live on jailoo — we learn many things and grow." The event was attended by educators and directors of kindergartens on jailoo, representatives of the education system of the Osh region, and children.
The festival aims to promote kindergartens on jailoo, utilize local traditions and customs in the upbringing of preschool children, and draw public attention to the development of eco-cultural traditions.
During the festival, participants discussed issues and approaches to working with the village government, parents, educators, and effective interaction with libraries. However, the festival was not limited to this, as participants were presented with master classes on making toys from waste materials, felt, and chia.
Guests were delighted by musical performances put on by the children themselves.
As part of the program, 16 kindergartens from three regions of the Osh region (Kara-Kulja, Alay, and Chon-Alai districts) were provided with yurts equipped with all necessary educational, didactic materials, and a library. These yurts will allow for classes, events, and games planned by educators during the jailoo season. The yurts were made in accordance with the norms and rules of ancient traditions, with national color; they are made from natural wood, felt, and wool. More than 50 titles of children's literature were provided to kindergartens in the jailoo conditions.
In 2006, the Education Program of the MSDSP KG (an initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation) initiated the idea of creating kindergartens on jailoo, which later gained wide recognition and acceptance. This idea is being implemented by non-programmatic communities and is also spreading throughout the country by the international fund "Initiative of R. Otunbayeva."
The program of kindergartens on jailoo aims to engage children in the process of preparing for school, as well as upbringing through reading.
The main participants of the educational program in the jailoo conditions are children of various age categories, with special attention given to preschool children. Specially trained educators developed work plans that took into account all specific aspects of pedagogy and the age psychology of preschool children within the framework of a three-hour stay in kindergarten. For many children, this program and education are new and beneficial. The social activity of children; the development and strengthening of skills in handling pens, pencils, paints, plasticine, scissors, basic reading and comprehension techniques, writing with elements of handwriting, listening, and oral speech formed the basis of the program's content.
