Russian exports to EAEU countries exceeded $6 billion

In the first nine months of 2023, Russia exported agricultural products from the agro-industrial complex (AIC) to EAEU countries worth approximately $6.2 billion, which corresponds to a 17% increase compared to the same period last year. This information was provided by the press service of the Federal Center for the Development of Agricultural Export Products of the Russian Federation based on expert data (Agroexport).

Belarus holds the leading position among EAEU countries in purchasing Russian AIC products, accounting for 45% of the total volume. This mainly includes pork, sunflower oil, rapeseed seeds, as well as flour confectionery products and pet food. During the specified period, exports to Belarus amounted to over $2.8 billion, increasing by 27% compared to last year.
Kazakhstan ranks second with a share of 42%. Russia supplies this country with sugar, chocolate, flour confectionery products, sunflower oil, and ready-made meat products. From January to September 2023, the volume of supplies to Kazakhstan exceeded $2.6 billion, which is 8% more than last year.
Closing the top three is Kyrgyzstan, which accounts for 7% of total exports. This country purchases significant volumes of sunflower oil, chocolate and flour products, wheat, sugar, and poultry meat. In the first nine months of the current year, exports to Kyrgyzstan exceeded $460 million, increasing by 14% compared to last year.
Agroexport also noted that among the commodity groups supplied by Russia to EAEU countries, the highest export revenues come from pork, sugar, sunflower oil, wheat, and various beverages, including alcoholic ones.
