Kyrgyzstan Leads the EAEU in Price Growth for Certain Products

According to an analysis conducted by the EEC, from January to September, consumer prices for food products in the EAEU increased by 4% compared to December of last year.

The highest price growth for food products is observed in Kazakhstan, where the index rose by 9.9%, followed by Belarus with 6.9% and Kyrgyzstan with 6.2%.

In comparison, in Russia, prices for fruits fell by 2.6%, while in Kazakhstan they increased by 11.3%, in Armenia by 8.8%, and in Belarus by 8.5%.

Kyrgyzstan also ranks first in the EAEU for the increase in fish prices, where the rise was 13.2%. In Kazakhstan, this figure is 11.1%, in Russia 9.9%, and in Armenia and Belarus 9.5% each.

As for potatoes, their price in Kyrgyzstan increased by 12.5%, while in the other EAEU countries, prices are declining.

Flour prices also rose in Kyrgyzstan by 4.6%, which is the highest figure among the Union countries. In Armenia, the increase was 4.4%, in Belarus 3.6%, in Russia 1.7%, and in Kazakhstan 1.5%.

Only in Kyrgyzstan among all EAEU countries was a decrease in prices for milk and dairy products recorded - by 1.3%.
