According to the latest data, the USA has become the largest importer of passenger cars from South Korea in the first 11 months of 2025, with a total supply volume of $27.5 billion. Canada ranks second with $5.05 billion, followed by Kyrgyzstan with $3 billion. Russia occupies the 11th position in this ranking.
From January to November 2025, Russia imported passenger cars from South Korea worth over $1 million, which is the highest figure since 2021. This data was published in an analysis by the "RIA Novosti" agency, based on information from the Korean statistical service.
According to the report, Russian companies purchased South Korean passenger cars worth $1.02 billion during the specified period, while last year this figure was $567.4 million. The last time a higher import value was recorded was in 2021, when it reached $2.2 billion.
Summarizing the results for January-October 2025, the total volume of car supplies from Korea to Russia amounted to $910 million. In the same period of 2024, this figure was $529 million, and in 2023 — $570 million. Russia again found itself in 11th place among importers. The leaders remain the USA ($24.7 billion), Canada ($4.5 billion), and Kyrgyzstan ($2.6 billion), while Kazakhstan holds the seventh position with an import volume of $1.5 billion. Ultimately, by the end of 2024, the value of imported South Korean cars to Russia amounted to $588 million.
