Illegal Hunting in Osh: Six Caught

In the territories of Kara-Suu, Aravan, and Nookat districts, as well as in the city of Osh, six individuals were fined a total of 75,000 soms for illegal hunting.

These violations were discovered during a joint operational raid conducted by the staff of the southern branch of NABU Kyrgyzstan, inspectors from the Osh regional office of the environmental and technical supervision service, as well as representatives from the department of specially protected natural areas and biodiversity.

During the inspection, it was revealed that:

— One of the offenders was detained in the rural area of Kyrgyzstan on the outskirts of the city of Osh;

— Three citizens violated hunting rules in the rural area of Papang in the Kara-Suu district;

— Two individuals were caught in the rural area of Shankol in the Nookat district.

A total of six cases of hunting rule violations were recorded.

According to current legislation, the offenders were fined amounts ranging from 12,500 soms to 75,000 soms, and they were also charged for damages amounting to 2,000 soms.

In addition, during the raid, local residents were provided with explanations about the importance of adhering to hunting regulations, protecting wildlife, and strictly following the law, as noted in the report.
