On January 1, inspectors from the Osh Regional Department of the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service, together with employees from the Department of Specially Protected Natural Areas and Biodiversity of the Ministry of Natural Resources, as well as members of the "Bars-2" group from NABU, conducted raids in the hunting grounds of the Kara-Suu and Aravan districts.

During the inspection conducted in the Kumböz Papanskoy Aiyl Aimak area, it was found that three men were illegally keeping seven grey-headed goldfinches (sary kanat) in cages.

As a result of the raid, the offenders were fined a total of 30,000 soms in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 261 of the Code of Offenses, which pertains to illegal hunting and the capture of wild animals, including fish and aquatic inhabitants, with the damage being deemed minor.

Since the health of the birds was found to be satisfactory, they were released and returned to their natural habitat.
