On November 11, inspectors from the Regional Environmental Supervision Department for Bishkek and the Alamedin District conducted an inspection following complaints from local residents about illegal activities in the area of the Lower Ala-Archa Reservoir in the Ak-Zhar residential area.
During the inspection, it was established that earthworks were being carried out without the necessary permits and licenses, which constitutes a violation of the legislation.
As a result, the offender was fined 10,000 soms in accordance with Article 245 (3) of the Code of Offenses, which pertains to the use of natural resources without permission.
The Environmental Supervision Service also reminded citizens of the need to contact the department or the operational communication channels of the Ministry of Nature upon discovering instances of illegal earthworks or the use of natural resources, such as sand and gravel, without the appropriate permits.
