Inspectors conducting the raid freed the fish caught in the nets and returned them to the water body. Additionally, plans are in place to destroy the confiscated nets.
Three boats were found on the shore of the reservoir, which contained fishing gear and boxes for fish. Two boat owners were identified and held accountable, receiving a fine of 11,000 soms under Article 267 of the Code of Offenses, which pertains to the use of synthetic nets and electrofishing systems.
The agency reported its intention to continue such raids in the future.
