Professor Toghrul Ismail, a specialist in international relations and law, as well as the head of the Department of Political History at Kahramanmaraş University (Turkey), shared his opinion with the Kabar agency regarding the progress made in Kyrgyzstan since Sadyr Japarov took office as president.
He emphasized that the country is focused on implementing its planned socio-economic goals. Additionally, Ismail noted that Japarov has significantly expanded Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy connections.
“Particular attention in Kyrgyzstan is paid to socio-economic issues. In recent years, there has been active development of infrastructure projects, support for regions, and an increase in social benefits. There is also an enhanced control over the rational use of budgetary funds,” the expert noted.
Ismail characterized Japarov's presidential term as a period of strengthening statehood and searching for new development paths. In his opinion, Kyrgyzstan should continue to reinforce the stability achieved through institutional reforms while maintaining social support and flexibility in foreign policy. The reforms being implemented underscore the need for effective governance in the country.
From the perspective of foreign policy, under Japarov's leadership, Kyrgyzstan has established itself as an independent state. Strengthening ties with Turkic countries, including Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Central Asian states, has facilitated international interaction for Bishkek and expanded opportunities for multi-vector diplomacy, which aligns with the country's long-term interests,” he added.
