According to information from the State Department "Unaa," Kyrgyz citizens working abroad and unable to return home can contact the embassy or consulate of Kyrgyzstan to replace their driver's licenses.
The department noted: "It is necessary to submit an application for the replacement of the document. Currently, this service is provided free of charge."
Additionally, the State Department "Unaa" clarified the process for foreign citizens, such as Russians, who hold driver's licenses from the Kyrgyz Republic.
"Such individuals need to personally visit the department of the State Department 'Unaa' with their driver's card for the replacement of the license," the specialists added.
For them, the replacement is also carried out free of charge.
The State Department "Unaa" recommends contacting their branches for additional information regarding the replacement of documents.
Since the beginning of January, the replacement of indefinite driver's licenses for modern samples has been taking place in Kyrgyzstan.
Driver's licenses can be updated through the "Tunduk" application, where it is necessary to upload photos of the old document and submit an application for a new one. The replacement is carried out free of charge, and there are no time limits for its completion.
