The volume of the preferential lending program "FSH-14" amounted to 2.4 billion soms, - Ministry of Agriculture
According to Duyisheev, the main task of this program is to provide state support to farmers and dehkans during the spring fieldwork.
The funds for the program are distributed across three main areas: 70% of the total volume will go to livestock, 20% to crop production, and 10% to the implementation of modern water-saving technologies. In monetary terms, this amounts to 1 billion 713 million soms for livestock, 489.6 million soms for crop production, and 244.8 million soms for technologies that promote water conservation.
The Deputy Minister also noted that funding for the program this year has been reduced compared to the previous year, as six state credit programs are being launched simultaneously. These include programs for financing breeding livestock, seed-growing and nursery farms, as well as consolidated producers. Additionally, a project for the development of beef cattle breeding is starting in Bishkek and the Chui region.
"We have reached an agreement with commercial banks on the possibility of reallocating funds between programs if necessary. This year, we aim to provide the population with preferential loans to the maximum extent," he added.
Duyisheev also emphasized that the "FSH-14" program focuses on the implementation of water-saving technologies.
"In the context of climate change, we must help farmers adapt to the use of water-saving technologies," he concluded.
