Torobaev responded that neighboring countries provide assistance in the repair of dams and hydropower facilities.
Kydyraliev noted that this issue is discussed in a completely different context in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
“My acquaintances from these countries contacted me and asked why we are talking about selling water to our neighbors. In fact, it is not about selling,” he emphasized.
The deputy pointed out that such interpretations in the media of neighboring countries create a false impression of Kyrgyzstan's position regarding transboundary water resources.
