In the Issyk-Kul region, an important stage in the development of Kyrgyzstan took place: the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev participated in the ceremony of laying the capsule for the construction of the special financial and investment territory (SFIT) "Tamchy".
In his address to the participants of the event, Kasymaliev noted that the launch of the "Tamchy" project represents a significant step for the economic progress of the country. The zone is intended to become an international financial center, facilitating the attraction of global investments, as well as innovations in the fields of fintech and IT. Additionally, it will serve as a modern logistics hub for international trade and cargo transportation.
The head of the cabinet emphasized that the implementation of the project is based on advanced international experience, adapted to the characteristics of the Issyk-Kul region. One of the key aspects of "Tamchy" will be the creation of a transparent and competitive environment for investors.
Briefly about the main characteristics of the SFIT "Tamchy" project:
• By 2035, phased construction of modern offices, residential complexes, and tourist facilities with a total area of over 470 thousand square meters is planned. The territory will be divided into business, logistics (adjacent to the airport), and recreational zones.
• An independent international dispute resolution center will be established to protect business interests, operating under the principles of English law.
• Residents of the financial zone will receive tax exemptions for up to 49 years, as well as access to free capital movement, a flexible currency regime, and the ability to conduct business with 100% foreign participation.
• Infrastructure will be developed on an area of over 100 hectares, expecting up to 90 thousand tourists per year by 2035.
Concluding his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the current macroeconomic successes of the country, noting that "Tamchy" is being launched against the backdrop of record growth rates.
