Former deputy Osmon Turdumambetov reported pressure during the 2025 elections

According to the former MP, he has already submitted all the necessary documents to the Central Election Commission for participation in the parliamentary elections scheduled for November 2025. He also paid an electoral deposit of 300,000 soms, but, according to him, these funds were not returned to him.

Turdumambetov reported that part of his team went to Toktogul to open a campaign headquarters and begin preparations for the election campaign. However, on November 2, he claims, employees of the State Committee for National Security stopped him in Kara-Balta, took him to Bishkek, and under pressure escorted him to the Central Election Commission. There, he was forced to sign a statement refusing to participate in the elections "of his own free will."

He also noted that after signing this document, he was prohibited from sharing information about what happened on social media. Turdumambetov expressed concerns about possible provocations and pressure on his supporters and campaigners.

The politician also pointed to the possible involvement of some candidates in this incident, but expressed hope for an official investigation. He believes that if a criminal case is initiated, all circumstances and roles of the participants in this situation could be clarified.

In addition, he hopes for a review of the election results in constituency No. 14 and a re-vote.

It is worth noting that Osmon Turdumambetov has worked throughout his career in the Tax Service, holding leadership positions in the Moscow, Issyk-Ata, and Lenin districts. From 2020 to 2021, he was a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh from the Onuguu-Progress party.

The elections for deputies of the VIII convocation of parliament took place on November 30 of last year.
