The Ministry of Economic Development plans to launch credit and guarantee products for women and youth to promote small and medium-sized enterprises.

- The Ministry of Economy plans to introduce specialized credit and guarantee products aimed at women and youth to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This initiative is part of the action plan for the implementation of the Program for the Support and Development of SMEs in Kyrgyzstan until 2030.

The implementation of this measure is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. It is expected that each annual support program will cover at least 1,500 SMEs, of which at least 40% will be women entrepreneurs and 20% will be young entrepreneurs aged up to 35 years.

According to the methodology of the National Statistical Committee, enterprises are classified as "small" or "medium" depending on the number of employees and the area of activity:

• In sectors such as agriculture, hunting, forestry, fishing, mining and manufacturing, as well as in electricity supply and construction:

- small enterprises can have up to 50 employees;

- medium enterprises have from 51 to 200 employees.

• In sectors related to trade, automobile and household item repair, hospitality and restaurant services, transportation and communications, financial services, real estate, education, healthcare, and social services:

- small enterprises have up to 15 employees;

- medium enterprises have from 16 to 50 employees.
