200 som banknote


The 200 som banknote of the 2010 sample is made of white paper measuring 138x66 mm. The predominant color of the banknote is yellow. The paper contains colorless fibers that fluoresce yellow-green under UV light. The paper has a local watermark that repeats the portrait depicted on the front side of the banknote, as well as a watermark in the form of the banknote's denomination. The banknote features a windowed metallic security thread with microtext "200 som". White coupon fields are located along the edges of the banknote.
The portrait, the inscriptions "КЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ" (Kyrgyz Bank), "ЭКИ ЖYЗ СОМ" (Two Hundred Som), the denomination "200", and the signature of the Chairman (Төрага) of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic on the front side are made with relief printing.

The banknote has an original design and improved security features.

On the front side of the banknote, at the top, is the denomination "200", which contains microimages of birds, the signature of the Chairman (Төрага) of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the text "КЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ", and the serial number of the banknote, printed in red ink.

On the left side of the banknote is the portrait of Alykul Osmonov, a Kyrgyz poet and playwright, along with the inscription "АЛЫКУЛ ОСМОНОВ (1915-1950)". The portrait is made with a microfont that repeatedly spells out "Алыкул Осмонов" and is visible under magnification. To the left of the portrait is a holographic strip featuring the inscription "Кыргыз банкы" (Kyrgyz Bank), the denomination numbers, and an image of a feather. When the banknote is tilted, the direction of the feather changes from right to left. In the lines located to the right of the portrait, the repeated inscription "Кыргыз Банкы" is visible under magnification. Below the portrait is the text "ЭКИ ЖYЗ СОМ".

On the white coupon field to the left of the portrait, the serial number is vertically positioned in black ink. To the right of the security thread is a relief image of the sun and waves, which stands out against the background of a yellow circle. The images on the watermark white field align to form the word "сом" (som) when viewed against the light.

In the lower right corner is a yellow rectangle containing a relief image of the national ornament. When viewed from different angles, a hidden image of the denomination "200" can be seen. In the bottom right corner are the denomination numbers "200".

On the reverse side of the banknote is an image of Lake Issyk-Kul against the backdrop of the beautiful peaks of Kyrgyzstan and poetic lines by A. Osmonov dedicated to the lake. At the top is the text "КЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ" and the denomination numbers "200".
In the center of the banknote is an iridescent (made with translucent ink) stripe with the repeating denomination "200" and the inscription "Кыргыз Банкы". At the bottom of the banknote are the denomination numbers "200", the text "ЭКИ ЖYЗ СОМ", and the year of issue "2010".

The 200 som banknote of the 2000 sample is made of white paper measuring 155x74 mm. The predominant color of the banknote is yellow. The paper contains red and light green fibers, as well as colorless fibers that fluoresce under UV light. The paper has a local watermark that repeats the portrait depicted on the front side of the banknote, as well as a watermark in the form of the banknote's denomination. The banknote features a windowed metallic security thread with microtext "200 som". A strip code is located on the left and right edges of the banknote.

On the front side of the banknote, at the top, is the text "КЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ", the signature of the Chairman (Төрага) of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic; three slanted strokes for visually impaired individuals; the number "200", which contains microtext in the form of solid rows of the number "200" with increased relief; as well as the serial number of the banknote, printed in red ink. Next to the serial number is a golden foil in the shape of a diamond with a relief image of the denomination "200". The foil contains the denomination of the banknote and line patterns made with relief printing.

In the center, within the ornament, is a relief image of the denomination "200"; a see-through register in the form of an ornament; the portrait of Alykul Osmonov - a Kyrgyz poet and playwright who worked in the first half of the 20th century - and the inscription "АЛЫКУЛ ОСМОНОВ (1915-1950)". On the white coupon field is a conditional mark with increased relief for visually impaired individuals. At the bottom is the number "200", which contains microtext in the form of solid rows of the number "200"; the text "ЭКИ ЖҮЗ СОМ", which is underlined by a line of microtext "КЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ". To the right is the serial number, printed in black (the size of the numbers increases from top to bottom), as well as a vertical ornamental strip. At the bottom is a rectangle containing a relief image of the national ornament. When viewed from different angles, a hidden image of the denomination "200" can be seen.

On the reverse side of the banknote, at the top, is the text "КЫРГЫЗ БАНКЫ" and the number "200", which contains microtext in the form of the denomination "200". In the center is an image of Lake Issyk-Kul, and in the upper left part of the banknote are poetic lines by A. Osmonov dedicated to Lake Issyk-Kul. To the right is a see-through register in the form of a sailboat. In the ornament forming the background grid is microtext indicating the denomination of the banknote "ЭКИ ЖҮЗ СОМ". On the vertical ornamental strip is the inscription "ЭКИ ЖҮЗ СОМ". At the bottom are the denomination numbers "200" and the year of issue "2000". On the left side of the banknote is a golden rectangle with a national ornament and the denomination "200", made with iridescent ink.

Distinctive features of the 200 som banknote of 2004

On the reverse side, in the upper part of the banknote, are lines dedicated to Lake Issyk-Kul, reproduced from the original manuscript of the poem "Женишбек" by Alykul Osmonov, recreating the author's handwriting. The year of issue of the new sample banknotes (2004) is located on the reverse side of the banknote.
