In 2026, extensive construction and reconstruction projects are planned in the Osh region. According to information from the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, 134.64 kilometers of overhead power lines will be updated and built using self-supporting insulated wires (SIP).
These activities are aimed at implementing modern technologies, which in turn will improve the quality of electricity supply, reduce the number of emergency outages, and decrease technical losses.
The upcoming work for 2026 includes:
• Construction of a new 10 kV overhead line — 16.33 km
• Reconstruction of the 10 kV overhead line — 50.67 km
• Construction of a new 0.4 kV overhead line — 15.3 km
• Reconstruction of the 0.4 kV overhead line — 52.34 km
The Ministry of Energy emphasizes that these activities will ensure reliable, high-quality, and safe electricity supply for the residents and consumers of the Osh region. The work will begin in March and last until November, which corresponds to preparations for the autumn-winter season.
There are also plans to continue modernizing the energy infrastructure in the future.
