In the 2026 Agricultural Census, questions about animal breeds, fish farms, product processing, and garden plots have been added, - National Statistics Committee
According to him, the questionnaires will include a section dedicated to the documentary confirmation of animal breeds.
“The question about the presence of a breed certificate will be included in the questionnaires. If the owner does not have the document, there will be an option to indicate that the breed is not confirmed. If confirmation is available, a corresponding mark will be made,” he noted.
The census will also include information about fish farms, including data on the area of water bodies and their usage.
“We will collect information about the congestion of water bodies and their area, as well as the types of fish for which they are used — for example, rainbow trout or white amur,” Orozbaev explained.
In addition, questions about mini-workshops for processing agricultural products and facilities for their storage have been added to the questionnaires.
“We are accounting for the presence of mini-processing workshops, as well as homemade storage facilities — these can be both warehouses for products and refrigeration equipment,” he added.
The third form of the questionnaire has been developed for personal subsidiary farms and includes a wider range of questions. A separate form is also intended for summer cottages.
The specialist noted that many citizens living near large cities constantly reside in their summer cottages and engage in agriculture.
“It is no secret that around large cities, people manage their farms on summer cottage plots. Therefore, we have created a separate questionnaire for such cases,” he emphasized.
At the same time, he added that not all summer cottage owners reside on their plots permanently, and therefore a general form is provided, which will be filled out by the chairman of the summer cottage cooperative. After that, enumerators will conduct a survey among the permanent residents of the summer cottage plots.
“We will separately survey those who live permanently at the cottage. During the survey, the number of livestock and the presence of land plots will be taken into account,” Orozbaev concluded.
